The Baby’s Development
Ojas is exchanged between mother and baby due to which the mother may experience various emotions. The baby's head is proportionate to the rest of the body. You can expect at least 10 movements by the baby, but they will be less forceful. Pupils can constrict, dilate, and detect light. Baby is 16 to 19 inches long and weighs 6 to 7 pounds.
Good Diet
As you near the end of your pregnancy, it becomes important to take care of your diet to ensure smooth delivery. Eat sweet gruel prepared with milk. The gruel can be made of rice, sooji, wheat, vermicelli, semolina, and should be taken once a day.
Keep Massaging
In the eighth month, apart from the full body and feet massage, also gently massage the abdomen and the nipples to prepare for nursing.
Practice Yoga
Yoga has a lot of benefits for an expecting mother, and there are many asanas you can do. Here are two of them. However, practice with an experienced Yoga instructor to ensure safety.
Konasana
This asana increases the flexibility of the waist, and helps maintain fat in the waist region under control.
Vakrasana
Practicing this asana exercises the spine, legs, hands, and neck. It also provides gentle massage to the abdominal organs.
