What the parents can do for their baby

They shouldn’t watch violent movies or listen to loud music. It can impact the child adversely. Instead, they should entertain happy and positive thoughts all the time.

Be with people who have a favourable influence on the baby and the mother, like family elders and spiritual gurus.

Both parents should practice yoga and involve themselves in recreational activities like gardening.

They should talk about their future and that of their child after he / she comes into this world.
What the mother can do for herself

Simple exercises (like 20 mins of walking in the morning and in the evening) will help her stay fit and have a normal delivery.

She should read ancient literature, look at the beautiful works of art, and listen to soft music to put herself in the right frame of mind.

At night, she should sleep on her side rather than on her back to relieve back pain.

Applying oil on the abdomen and genital area helps ease false labour pains while gentle massage around the nipples prepares the mother for nursing
